| Hi, everyone
I may need a lot of support and cheering up in the bext couple of weeks! I first joined SW last spring and lost over 2 1/2 stone but still had a long way to go. In late summer 2007 I had a lot of family health problems and they took over my life for a while and I couldn't get to classes. I put back about 1 1/2 stone and rejoined 2 weeks ago.
But then I had an accident and have been housebound since then, apart from weekly trips to the doc and I have to get taxis both ways because I can't walk. There is a good side I suppose - I can't cheat and stuff myself silly with naughty things because I haven't got any in the house and a Mullerlite binge just doesn't have the same effect, does it? I have asked my partner to get me a bar of chocolate on his way from work but he's doing what I asked him to and ignoring the requests!
I'm sure I've had a good loss but apart from not being able to get weighed, the spectacular swelling of my left leg would balance it out! My number one fantasy at the moment is putting on a pair of shoes - not been able to for 12 days now.
About me - I'm Liz, live in Birmingham with my lovely man (Max) and our cat (Ella) and work for the council as an admin assistant with social services. I love music of almost all kinds, reading, all needlecrafts and animals. I'm a keen cook so SW is great for me. I recently subscribed to an online gym which is brilliant and I'll be getting back to their workouts as soon as my leg will let me stand, move whatever.
NIce to have found this site and I'm sure it's going to be a huge help to me. |

| Hi, I'm new too, unlike you I have never tried the plan and your previous results look great, I'm sure you will be able to get to the weight you were once you're feeling healthier. _________________

| The plan's great, happyfish! I found it a bit complicated at first but once I got into the swing of it, it was easy to stick to. It's versatile and very flexible so you can make it fit into your lifestyle - we like to have lunch out on a Sunday when we're sightseeing so I used to save my Syns for then. One thing I learned was that if you have a bad day, DON'T try to be extra-strict the next day to make up for it. Just treat it as a bad day that's gone and over with, then go back to normal. Punishing yourself doesn't work, it just makes you feel like a failure and that's the last thing you need. Good luck and well done on taking the first step.  |

| Thank you Blondie, I have an old book, given to my by a friend and I'm reading it every chance I get, I seem to be managing if I refer to the book regular. I'm sure it will become second nature to me in the weeks to come. _________________

| Hi, Liz! Welcome to the group! I wish I had a partner like yours that ignored my chocolate requests. I keep asking him whether my pestering is worse or my mood swings AFTER the food... but he doesn't seem to be getting the picture. Ah, nevermind!
I'm sorry to hear about your accident, but I hope your recovery is quick and I'm sure following Slimming World will help- eating well has been proven to speed up healing times for injuries!
